Happening this month
Please visit Sweet Tempered at First Thursday on South Congress on December 6th, 2007. This First Thursday will get you in the Holiday spirit with Holiday lights and Holiday Cheer and plenty of "Sweets". We will be selling cookies and cupcakes and taking orders for our Holiday Bite size Menu and our Holiday Gift boxes pictured above. Our table will be located in front of Ann Kelso Salon & CitySpa (1400 S. Congress, Suite A170). Our friends at Ann Kelso will also have items in their Two Moons Boutique and gift certificates for purchase that make lovely stocking stuffers for all of those on your holiday list.

Wedding Trends
We meet with a large number of brides and we are constantly being asked about the latest trends. As far as color goes, yellows and silvers will be very popular in 2008, but so will the jewel tones with rich purples, bright greens and shocking pinks. Many couples are going "Green" with their weddings. They are including organic flowers in their bouquets and on their cakes, using recycled paper in their invitations and using local and organic produce in their menu. They are also using biodegradable plates and forks at the reception. This is a great idea for local brides that are environmentally conscious. Let's talk dessert, since that is our forte! Many couples are foregoing the traditional wedding cake for dessert bars, smaller cakes for each table that provide more of a centerpiece function and also providing a dessert port in addition to the dessert course.
